The Team led by Adam Bennett and assisted by John Wheeler, commissioned Ian Callum to create an all-new body design, with every panel unique to RSCC Distomo. Back in In 1984 then Ford executives Mike Moreton and John Wheeler hired Ghia in Turin to create design concepts for the RS 200.
The chosen concept was then further developed by Ford Dunton Design team, designers John Hartnell and Ian Callum providing the creative talent. Following this period as a Ford designer, Ian’s career flourished. He took full responsibility for many stunning products at Aston Martin, then Jaguar.
“Create an all-new body design, with every panel unique to RSCC Distomo.”
Recently Ian’s own company Callum Design has established a reputation for independent excellence. Ian Callum showed no hesitation in offering his services for the creation of this exciting new project, possibly viewing it as unfinished business. Although based on the original RS200 Group S Prototype, the RSCC Distomo is totally new: all dimensions are specific to the Distomo design, all surfaces and body panels are entirely unique.
